Everything people actually ask
What does Christmas light installation cost in Austin?
By the foot of roofline: $5.20–$8.00 per foot depending on when you want them up, everything included — install, January takedown, in-season repairs, summer storage, and a 10-year warranty on lights you own. A typical front roofline runs 150–250 feet. Minimum project is $500, and the full rate table is public on the pricing page.
Is the online price real, or do I still get a sales call?
It is real. Type your address and the site measures your roofline from building records and shows the number in about 30 seconds. It holds for 7 days. It is an estimate I confirm on site before install — the final price follows the real footage, up or down.
What is included in the price?
Everything: installation with commercial-grade C9s cut to your roofline, takedown in January, repairs within 24 hours all season with no service-call fee, summer storage, and a 10-year warranty on lights you buy. There are no add-on charges hiding behind the number.
Should I lease the lights or buy them?
Leasing is cheaper up front and costs the same every season, forever. Buying costs more the first year, then your reinstall price drops each season — by year four you pay 40% of the original price. On a typical house, buying is cheaper than leasing from your third or fourth season. In October they cost the same in year one, which makes buying the clear winner if you plan to keep doing this.
How do you measure my roof without visiting?
From building-footprint records — the same data mapping companies use — plus some geometry for peaks and eaves. I confirm the measurement on site before anything goes up.
When should I book?
October, honestly. Installs before November 1 are $5.20/ft — the cheapest window — and owning costs the same as leasing that month. The week after Thanksgiving is the most expensive and books out first.
What areas do you serve?
The I-35 corridor from Georgetown down to San Antonio: Hays, Travis, Williamson, Comal, Bexar, Guadalupe and Caldwell counties — Austin, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Kyle, Buda, San Marcos, Dripping Springs, Wimberley, New Braunfels, Canyon Lake, Schertz, Cibolo and the San Antonio metro.
What happens if the weather turns on install day?
Ladder work in rain, ice or high wind is not safe, so I reschedule you to the next available date at no charge. Your deposit carries over in full and a weather move never changes your price.
What if a strand goes out in December?
Text me and I'm back within 24 hours — no service-call fee, no charge. Unless it's unsafe to be on a roof — then the first safe day. The 24-hour clock starts when you tell me, not when the bulb failed.
What is the deposit, and is it refundable?
$100 flat, and it comes off your final price. Fully refundable up to 72 hours before your install; inside 72 hours it is held as the cancellation fee. Rescheduling is fine and the deposit carries over.
